Will GTA 6 have cheat codes?
Rockstar has not confirmed cheats for GTA 6 yet. Every main GTA game so far has had them in story mode, so it would be a surprise if GTA 6 broke that tradition. Codes will be found within days of launch.
How cheats worked in GTA 5
GTA 5 cheats were button combinations entered during gameplay, and later also phone numbers you could dial on the in game phone. They covered weapons, invincibility, spawning vehicles, changing the weather and lowering your wanted level. Using them in a session disabled trophies and achievements until you reloaded a save. See the full list on our cheats page.
Cheats only work in story mode
In every GTA with an online mode, cheats are limited to single player. Expect the same in GTA 6: nothing will work in GTA 6 Online, and anything claiming to give you free online money is a scam or a ban risk.
When will GTA 6 cheats be known?
With GTA 5, the cheat list was public on launch week. Our PS5 cheats and Xbox cheats pages go live with every working code as soon as they are verified.
Beware of fake cheat lists
Before launch, any site listing exact GTA 6 codes is making them up. Real codes only exist once the game is out.
